Contributing Culture Writer — Blitzfits (2026 Season)

The Role
We're looking for a Contributing Culture Writer to help tell Blitzfits' stories across our website, newsletter, socials, and editorial content. We're not a traditional, polished editorial outlet — we tell player-led stories that land with the consumer in a way that's fast, real, and culturally relevant. If you get that instinctively, this role is for you.

What You'll Write

  • Season storylines and moments covered through a fashion/lifestyle/culture angle

  • Player features tied to identity, style, and off-field presence

  • Timely reaction pieces to cultural moments (fits, campaigns, brand tie-ins)

  • Copy for the Blitzfits Groupchat newsletter and original brand content

  • Longer-form pieces, potentially adapted for Substack as that channel develops

What We're Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of football and football culture specifically

  • 2-3 writing samples or clips (professional, school publication, or personal blog welcome)

  • Comfortable hitting deadlines, especially around gameday

  • A voice that fits Blitzfits — storytelling and identity-driven, not hot-takes or news-wire recaps

  • SEO/CMS familiarity a plus, not required

  • Passion for athlete storytelling and football x fashion culture

  • An innovative thinker, willing to bring and implement new ideas

  • Team-first mentality
